Uses Minova's Anchortite is used for grouting high-strength anchor bolts, starter bars in concrete and anchors in rock. Suggested applications for Anchortite include light and heavy rail track anchoring, setting of highway lighting standards, anchoring of precast median barriers and signs on highways. Handrails and guardrails, pipe protection stands around safety areas in factories and schools are excellent applications for Anchortite. Advantages - Economical - small amounts may be field mixed.
- High strength, fast setting.
- Bonds to concrete and steel.
- Resistant to most chemical attack.
Description Anchortite is a two part, fast setting, free flowing polyester resin anchoring grout. It consists of liquid resin and specially formulated filter/hardening. It is specially, designed for anchoring bolts and dowels in concrete, rock, brick and masonry. Application Instructions Anchor bolt hole preparations Anchor bolt holes should be drilled using air or water flushed rotary percussive drilling equipment. If diamond core or non-percussive drills are used, the hole must be thoroughly scoured using a coarse nylon flue brush. Anchor bolt holes less than 36” deep should not be more than 1/2" larger in diameter than the diameter of the anchor bolts. Anchor bolts longer than 36" can have a hole diameter 3/4" larger than the bolt diameter. Fosroc Lokset Resin Cartridges may be considered for long bolt application. Mixing The mixing of a complete unit (all of the resin and filler/hardener) will result in a pourable grade grout. Small requirements of grout may be mixed at the ratio of one part resin to two parts filler/hardener by volume. Application Place Anchortite into prepared hole such that little or no air is trapped. After placing Anchortite in the hole, insert the bolt or bar. Insert the hardware with | a twisting action for maximum contact between the resin compound and anchor. Clean-up Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with Fosroc Solvent 102 or xylol. Wash hands and skin with soap or industrial hand cleaner, not with solvent. Physical Properties Compressive strength—ASTM C-109 At five times pot life @75°F:10,000 psi (69 MPa) At 7 days @75°F:15,000 psi (103 MPa) Tensile Strength—ASTM C-307 At five times pot life @75°F: 1400 psi (11 MPa) At 7 days @75°F: 2000 psi (13.8 MPa) Chemical Resistance Anchortite resists oil, fats, mild acids, alkalies and fresh and salt water. If exposure to a specific chemical is anticipated, consult Fosroc directly for guidance. Pot Life Consult the pot life/temperature chart for desired pot life and resin speed (next page). All application and performance values are typical for the material but may vary because of variations in test methods, conditions and configurations. Shelf Life Anchortite has shelf life of 9 months from the date shown on the powder if stored in unopened containers under recommended conditions. Unused quantities of resin and filler/hardener may be tightly resealed and stored in a cool (60°F-70°F) dry place. Storage Store Anchortite in a cool (60°F-70°F) dry area with low humidity. Keep containers tightly closed.
