Uses
Construction - Permanent rock reinforcement on dams, locks, underground structures and rock cuts.
- Tying new concrete to old, old concrete to rock, either above or below water.
- Vibration resistant anchors for heavy machinery, ties, towers and suspended conveyors.
- Post tensioning rock and concre
Mining - "Active" and "Passive" installations providing strong, permanent ground support.
- Strengthening pillars, brows, drifts, and ore passes.
- Permanent support in shafts, crusher stations and haulageways.
- Anchor pins for raise bores, rockbreakers, slushers, and other mining machinery including suspended conveyor.
Advantages
- custom diameters and strength
- low viscocity strand-lok resin
- high strength resin formulation
oil based
Description The Ground LokTM resin cartridge contains quality polyester resin grout and catalyst in precisely measured quantities. These two components are kept separate and contained by a thin plastic film. The sausage-shaped cartridges are designed to be inserted into drill holes. No reaction will take place until a deformed rod is rotated through the cartridges, mixing the components, and initiating the curing action. When cured, the resin achieves a stronger compressive strength than the surrounding rock.

| Performance Data
Aging of Cured Resin Ground LokTM’s cured resin is completely resistant to acids and alkalis between pH 2 and pH 10. There is no significant weakening even when constantly immersed in water. The cured resin will last as long as the surrounding rock, and will continue to protect that part of the bolt to which it is bonded. Resistance to Heat and Cold Cured resin is resistant to distortion by heat up to 100°C. Installation is unaffected by cold and no loss of ultimate strength occurs. The cured resin is unaffected by cold and has proven performance in perma frost.
Resin Strength When fully cured, the resin is stronger than rock and most other materials into which it is likely to be used. For precise calculation, refer to the following test data.
