Shoring for reconstruction of Little Mountain Reservoir using DYWI ^® Drill Hollow Bars

Reconstruction of the Little Mountain Reservoir (potable water reservoir tank) was required in order to increase the tank’s capacity. In the reconstruction and expansion of the reservoir, temporary shoring was required. After several tests with different anchoring solutions the DYWI ^® Drill System was selected.

The temporary anchors had a length between 10 and 12 m and the first 3 or 4 m incorporated a free stressing length that was protected with appropriate smooth PE-sheathing.
The project was successfully completed in October 2002.
